Sneha Wagh: We plan to have a long honeymoon

Sneha Wagh, who plays Ratan in Yash Patnaik’s Ek Veer Ki Ardaas... Veera, tied the knot with Anurag Solanki, who is into interior designing and finance, on January 29 in a quiet ceremony in the city.

What was the reason behind such a hush-hush wedding? “I’ve always kept my personal life away from the public glare. When it came to marriage, I didn’t feel the need to make a spectacle of it. Anurag and I took the decision of keeping it low key, and we opted to have an Arya Samaj Gandharva Vivah,” she says.

It is a classic case of chatt mangni patt byah. “We met through a common friend in May last year. He proposed marriage to me in the second meeting itself, which I declined. However, time played its part and what was meant to happen, happened. There was no courtship as such. It’s an arranged marriage for me as my parents gave their approval first,” she reveals.

Though her in-laws haven’t restricted her from acting after marriage, she has decided to take a break. “I want to settle down in my personal life first. Hence, the break. And, we plan to have a long honeymoon. No compromises there,” laughs Sneha, adding, “The makers have sent my character to Vaishno Devi so that I could enjoy my break.”
Sneha plays a doting mother onscreen. Quiz her if she plans to go the family way in real life soon, and she smiles, “Too soon to ask, don’t you think?”
