Ryanair flight turns back after tyre burst during take-off

A Ryanair flight bound for Dublin made a precautionary turn back at a UK airport this morning after a tyre burst during take-off.
The incident occurred on the runway at Edinburgh Airport at 8.05am.
Fire engines rushed to the scene when the plane returned to the airport, and all passengers disembarked safely.
A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed: “A flight from Edinburgh to Dublin today suffered a burst tyre on take-off from Edinburgh Airport."
"The aircraft returned to Edinburgh and landed normally and customers disembarked and were provided with refreshment vouchers."
"This was a precautionary air turn back and no emergency was declared," the spokesperson added.
A Ryanair engineer was sent from Prestwick near Glasgow to replace the tyre. The same aircraft will depart for Dublin shortly.
"Ryanair sincerely apologised to all those affected by the delay to their journey,” the spokesperson added.
