Abhay Deol has always been candid about his relationship with long time girlfriend Preeti Desai and the have often been spotted together at events.
However, rumours doing the rounds suggest that the much-in-love couple are no longer together.
The news came out in open when apparently, organisers of an event sent the "Shanghai" actor and Desai an invitation. However, Deol informed them that he will be showing up alone and that they shouldn't expect Desai accompanying him to events hereon.
The "Dev.D" actor further mentioned that in future he will accept invitations only if he is invited alone.
The much-in-love couple had been living in together since 2011 and had never shied away from openly accepting their relationship.
"Of late, Abhay has even skipped a few events because the organisers had sent him a joint invitation that was meant for Preeti too. He clearly wants to avoid talking about her absence," a source told Hindustan Times.
Until December 2014, the model-turned-actress had accompanied the "Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara" actor to most of the events that he attended.
While there is no information about Desai's current residence, the actor stays in their plush flat in Juhu.
Desai made her acting debut in 2011 with "Shor In The City". She later went on to feature in Deol's home production "One By Two" (2014), which failed at the box office.
