Gold winning wrestler Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) gets all the help he needs after the 1984 games from his brother, Gold medalist Dave (Mark Ruffalo). One day John Du Point (Steve Carell) invites Mark to his estate and makes an offer, to train his team called Foxcatcher for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. This is Mark's chance to step away from his brother's shadow and do something of his own.

The movie shows Mark's struggle even after he has taken the offer he wanted. It also shows Du Point's frustration, someone who has family wealth and everything money can buy but he doesn't seem happy. Problem begins when Du Point who is upset with Mark goes and gets Dave to replace Mark as the coach of the team.

Director Bennett Miller does a fabulous job of keeping the focus on all the troubled relationships. The display of du Point's wealth is done well and the love and hate relationship between the brothers remain the focus.

The end is obviously tragic and done with all the needed drama that keeps you glued to the screen and you walk out disturbed thinking about the tragic real life story.

All the three main actors Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo fit the role and do full justice to the role making the story believable.

Foxcatcher is a fabulous story of the American dream gone wrong.
