The 103rd Hindu religious meet, Ayroor-Cherukolpuzha Hindumatha Parishad, organised by the Hindumatha Maha Mandalam (HMM), will be held at its traditional venue on the sand bed of river Pampa at Cherukolpuzha near Kozhencherry from February 1 to 8.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the week-long religious meet at a ceremonial function to be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday. World renowned spiritual master, Sri M of Manav Ekta Mission will deliver the benedictory speech and Swami Prajnanananda Theerthapada, president of the Theerthapada Ashram at Vazhoor, will preside over the inaugural function.
The Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha P.J. Kurien, and T.K.A. Nair, formerly advisor to Prime Minister of India, will deliver the keynote addresses.
Swami Satchidananda and M.R. Gopalakrishnan Nair, religious scholar, will deliver religious discourses in the evening session. HMM president, T.N. Upendranatha Kurup, will hoist the ceremonial flag at the meeting venue in the forenoon.
Water Resources Minister P.J. Joseph will inaugurate the cultural meet to be held on February 3. Ezhacherry Ramachandran, Sahitya Pravarthaka Co-operative Society president, will preside over the meet. K.P.Sasikala, Hindu Aikyavedi State president, will deliver a discourse at 7 p.m.
Former Chief Secretary R. Ramachandran Nair will inaugurate the Ayyappa devotees’ meet to be held on February 4. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the valedictory meet on February 8.
