HOPCOMS will be setting up two wine boutiques in the city. While one is expected to come up at its proposed outlet at Alanahalli near Lalitha Mahal Palace, the other one is proposed at Thonachikoppal.
“We have already written to the Excise Department and are expecting permission to be given soon,” said Boregowda, president of HOPCOMS, Mysuru.
Karnataka State Wine Board Managing Director B. Krishna told The Hindu over phone that there were a total of 239 wine boutiques in the State.
The proposed wine boutiques to be set up by HOPCOMS will be the first in Mysuru district.
As part of its wine policy, the government will give permission for setting-up wine boutiques to applicants having 200 sq. feet of area for a fee of Rs. 1,000, he said.
