Metro train stops as another bird found on tracks

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. stopped operations to rescue a bird from its tracks on Thursday.

Vasantha Rao, General Manager (Finance), BMRCL, said an injured adult kite was found on the tracks near Yeswanthpur Metro Station on Reach-3. Train operator Santhiraj noticed the bird and informed the Operation Control Centre, which contacted the Forest Department whose staff member Rajesh Kumar rescued the bird. He said, “There was no delay in the train’s movement.” Mr. Rao said BMRCL is thinking of a method of preventing birds from falling on the tracks.
