Gurgaon gave me my first theatre experience
I am still doing Zangoora. I haven’t been performing because of my injury (she hurt her right little toe recently and the doctor advised her against dancing) but till December I was performing. I remember, when I had just moved from Mumbai, I was homesick. I think it was a new space, so it took me some time to settle in. Once I settled in, I created this whole little world of mine in Gurgaon. I used to stay in Gurgaon and travel to Kingdom Of Dreams (KOD). I was staying just five minutes away from KOD and I had created this little world with my friends and my work. I met a lot of good people in Delhi and Gurgaon and I will always cherish that. I got to learn a lot. Gurgaon and KOD gave me my first theatre experience. I will always remember it and continue to be thankful to Delhi and Gurgaon for that. I had never experienced the stage or theatre before. Here, I became a more confident person in terms of acting, in terms of understanding little things about acting, the intricacies and alertness of an actor on the stage. I learnt all of that and I am thankful to Gurgaon for that.
