Anhad organises 'Meera Samaroh' at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal

The past couple of days have seen the cultural circuit of Bhopal busy with a plethora of events and one such festival that gave the residents several memorable evenings was the recent Meera Samaroh. Organised by Anhad, which is the centre for classical music based in Bharat Bhavan, the festival chronicled the many facets of the saint Meerabai.
Several artistes paid their tribute to the mystic and that too in many ways — there were dance performances, musical evenings, film screenings and some other cultural activities too.The artistes who performed during the three-day event included Sushmita Das, ShiAnhad v Rath and Ashwini Bhide, among others. In fact, Ashwini read Meera Pad, which are poems that Meera had written for Lord Krishna, when she realised her love for him.
