2-day film screening event for children to show 17 films

A film screening event for children is being organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, along with Bal Bhavan Society at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park. The screening will be held for two days starting on Friday, January 30, at 3.30 pm. Roshan Baig, Minister for information and public relations will inaugurate the film event. The film Gandhi, directed by Richard Attenborough will be the first film shown at the event.

Bhavana, chairperson, Bal Bhavan Society, will address the gathering while writer HS Venkatesh Murthy and Kannada film director TS Nagabharana will be key guests.

Following films will be screened at Jawahar Bal Bhavan:

Children of Heaven (Iran, 89 minutes)
In The Name of Sherlock Homes (Hungary, duration 99 minutes)
Clara And The Secret Of The Bears (Australia, duration 93 minutes)
