Not the first hoax message

Social messengers and social networking sites may be a boon to many. But Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) authorities will disagree. For several “wrong” messages are being circulated text messages and WhatsApp messages.

KIMS authorities said that a few months ago, several people with disabilities came to the hospital after receiving the message that said that the hospital was distributing free aids. “Many times, people come to the hospital and say they have come to donate blood because they had received a message saying that a patient needs blood.”
