Samastha Nair Samajom against Mani, NSS

January 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KOTTAYAM:

The Guruvayur-based Samastha Nair Samajom (SNS) has come down heavily on Finance Minister K.M. Mani who, according to it, should be ousted from the Cabinet for incurring heavy losses to the exchequer.

Speaking to presspersons here, SNS general secretary Perumuttom Radhakrishnan called for an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the activities of Mr. Mani during the past five years when he was either a Minister or an MLA.

According to him, the ongoing investigation into the corruption charges against Mr. Mani was farcical and an affront to the sensibilities of the people of Kerala.

“Even Mr. Mani has not claimed that he had not engaged in corrupt practices. He has only demanded evidence for the allegations,” he said.

Criticising Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair for his stance in the present controversies, Mr. Radhakrishnan said the SNS would take out a protest march to Perunna.
