Ginny the goat has been the main attraction at the Imbolc Festival for a number of years, but this year her milk has dried up and, for obvious reasons, she can no longer take part in the ‘milking of the goat’ festival.
Oh no! Ginny's gone dry! Can you help, please share. http://t.co/fMMpO5Flno

The festival organisers, the Slieve Bloom Association, have praised Ginny for being a great sport over the years.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ginny for her good humour and pleasant nature through the years.”
Now that Ginny is looking forward to her imminent retirement, the Slieve Bloom Association are searching for the Imbolc Festival’s Next Great Goat to take part in the “revival of an age-old tradition”.
They assure us that the aim of the search is “nothing sacrificial, just plain old milking”.
The Imbolc Festival takes place at 2pm in Dempsey’s Pub Car Park, Cadamstown, Co. Offaly.
If you and your milking goat are free next weekend and interested in taking part in the festival then email info@slievebloomassociation.com.
