66th Republic Day celebrated with gaiety, fervour

JAMMU, Jan 28: The 66th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervour.
Republic Day was celebrated at Government Higher Secondary School, Surinsar. Principal Girdhari Lal Atri presented the welcome address and the National Flag was unfurled by the chief guest Sarpanch Subash Singh. Students of GHSS Surinsar and adjoining Government Middle and Government Primary Schools displayed various cultural items.
Government High School, Sagoon celebrated Republic Day. The National Flag was hoisted by Dittu Ram, Numberdar and Gian Chand Sumbria, Sarpanch. PC Sharma, Chairman Panchayat Adalat Sagoon, Mul Raj Gupta, Headmaster GHS Sagoon and Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Principal, Bal Shishu Vidyalya Saoon, large number of people of Sagoon and Bral villages, faculty members and students were also present. The students of GHS Sagoon and Bal Shishu Vidyalya presented cultural items, wherein GHS Sagoon secured first position and second position was claimed by Bal Shishu Vidyalya.
A colourful programme was organized at Government Girls Middle School, Dharam Khoo, Bhalwal to celebrate Republic Day. The National Flag was unfurled by Sarpanch Amar Nath in presence of VEC members, SDE Balwant Kataria, Incharge of the school Madhu Bala, staff members and students.
Government Girls Middle School, Doomi, Zone Bhalwal celebrated 66th Republic Day. Sarpanch Ravi Kumar Verma unfurled the National Flag in presence of panchs, VLEC members, Headmaster Anju Gupta, staff members and students. On the occasion, students sang patriotic songs and also presented dance items.
Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua celebrated 66th Republic Day. On the occasion, chief guest was Er Narinder Singh Bali, Additional DC, guest of honours was Saroop Chander, retd prof and special guest was Gautam Sharma, Deputy Director. Tejinder Kaur, Principal, Surya College of Education, Pankaj Dogra, MD Dogra Cultural Group and Chairperson MLZS Kathua Anu Dogra were also present. Many activities were performed by the students.
To celebrate 66th Republic Day, Dr SS Jamwal, Director, Department of Agriculture hoisted the National Flag at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo. The programme was jointly organized by All J&K Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF), Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduates Association (NGAGA), All J&K Agriculture Employees Association and Agriculture Drivers Union, in which large number of officers and employees of Agriculture Department participated. Susheel Saini, Director Law Enforcement, Sudesh Koul, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu, Onkar Singh Choudhary, Chief Agriculture Officer, CM Sharma, Deputy Director (Central), Matinder Singh, ADO, Jammu besides many other dignitaries expressed their views.
66th Republic Day was celebrated by Arya Samaj Rehari Jammu wherein representatives from other Arya Samajs of Jammu city were present. The National Flag was hoisted by Bharat Bhushan Arya, president, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K along with senior member Satyvir Gupta, followed by National Anthem. Glowing tributes were paid to freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation. Other members who were present include Prem Gupta, Ritu, Sarvshree Rakesh Chohan, Kuldip Gupta, Prof Yoginder Gupta, Chain Lal Shastri, Arun Khanna, Nischint Arya and Inderjit Gupta.
Bharat Vikas Parshid, Bahu Branch, Trikuta Nagar celebrated Republic Day at Secotr-9, Trikuta Nagar. Yash Puri, Sangh Sanchalak was the chief guest on the occasion. Children of Trikuta Nagar and Blue Bird School presented cultural items.
Sh Badrinath Shiv Mandir Management Committee, Arorian Di Chapri, New Plot celebrated Republic Day. The National Flag was hoisted by Purshotam Abrol, president of the management committee in presence of Bharat Bhushan, vice president, Vijay Khajuira, SC Sharma, Sarish Mahajan, Purshotam Sharma and others members of the committee. General public were also present on the occasion.
On the eve of 66th Republic Day, Member Legislative Council, Dr Shehnaz Ganai donated force traveller Ambulance, purchased through Constituency Development fund, to Primary Health Centre Sawjian. The ambulance was handed over to Medical Officer at PHC Sawjian, in presence of the CMO Poonch, BMO Mandi, Block President NC Abdul Ahad Bhat, various workers of NC and large number of people of the area.
