Shania Twain Las Vegas Concert Special to Air on ABC
Shania Twain is returning to TV screens, for one night only, in the exclusive concert event, Shania: Still the One Live from Vegas, airing February 28th, at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC. The special recaps Twain’s successful two-year residency in Las Vegas, which came to an end in December.
The global superstar, who was last seen in the 2011 reality series Why Not? for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, performed 105 shows during her Vegas stint, in a stage spectacle that incorporated a 13-piece live band, dancers, trained horses and a flying motorcycle. The special airs just ahead of the March 3rd release of a live CD and DVD, available exclusively at Walmart.
In addition to the full-band performances of some of the Canadian-born singer-songwriter’s hits, Twain offers acoustic versions of such familiar tunes as “Come on Over,” “Love Gets Me Every Time,” “Rock This Country” and “Today Is Your Day,” her most recent single, which she first introduced to fans during the run of her OWN network series.
No word on when a new set of Twain tunes will be released. Her most recent LP of all-new material, Up!, was issued in 2002. To date, the country-pop phenom has sold 75 million albums worldwide.
