Vhong Navarro on Ferdinand Guerrero’s arrest

MANILA, Philippines – It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro said that he will continue to pursue justice after another one of the suspects who mauled him, Ferdinand Guerrero, was arrested Sunday, January 25.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Vhong said he happy over the news.

“Siyempre ako ay natutuwa na nahuli na nga at nasakote na nga ng NBI ang isa sa mga nambugbog sa akin. Ngayon unti-unti kong nakikita ang justice sa atin,” he said.

(I am very happy that he was caught and that he is under the custody of the NBI. Now, we are slowly seeing justice.)

He did admit that he is still worried about his safety, knowing that some of the suspects are still at large.

“Hindi naman nawawala ‘yung takot, pero ako naniniwala pa din ako sa justice natin na lahat ay magiging maayos. Siguro ako kailangan ko pang magdasal pa na sana ay magkaroon ng katarungan ang ginawa sa akin,” he said.

(Of course the fear is still there, but I still believe in our justice system, that everything will be fixed. I guess I need to pray more, that there will be justice for what was done to me.)

In the end, Vhong thanked everyone for the continuous support and love he receives.

According to NBI Anti Illegal Drugs Unit chief Eric Isidro, Guerrero disguised himself many times, used different cars and staying n different condominium units, before being arrested.

Guerrero’s arrest comes after businessman Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz were arrested on April 26 in Eastern Samar. Deniece Cornejo, who accused Vhong of raping her the night he went to her condominium in Taguig, surrendered in May.

All three are currently out on bail.  – Rappler.com
