'Government made 21st Amendment very controversial by linking religion with terrorism': Siraj-ul-Haq

OKARA (Dunya news) – Jamaat-e-Islam’s (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq on Wednesday said that he was amazed that two years have passed since this government came to power but it still has been unable to set a Foreign Minister. The duties on the foreign front are to be performed by the Prime Minister (PM) and the Chief Minister (CM). But instead the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is carrying out those duties.

He expressed these views while addressing a public gathering in Rajowal, Okara.

According to the details, JI’s chief stated that the Army Chief was sometimes seen visiting London, then Washington and then China. He stated that if the government does not have any official capable of holding the post of Foreign Minister they can take an official from our party.

Siraj-ul-Haq said he was perplexed that the United States (US) President Barack Obama is signing agreements with India on business and civil nuclear technology. But with Pakistan he does business in dead bodies.

JI’s chief stated that the government has made the 21st Amendment very controversial by linking religion with terrorism in it. He said a 22nd Amendment should be made which should include our advices and opinions.

While addressing the farmers, the JI’s chief stated that if his party comes to power he would give subsidy on machinery and seeds for a green revolution.
