A huge cache of explosive substances, including detonators and gelatin sticks, was seized on Wednesday and six persons were apprehended by Cyberabad Police following raid at a house in Hanuman Nagar here.

Acting on a tip-off, Special Operation Team (West) raided the house and found a huge dump of explosive substances. The team nabbed G Bakkaiah, V Anjaiah, G Venkataiah, S Narsimha, Y Narsimha Reddy and Vijay, police said.

On searching the house and its surroundings, the police team recovered 1,620 detonators, 1,350 gelatin sticks, about 30 kg of ammonia, 20 connecting wire bundles, a blasting box and four tractors, they said.
