National meet on applied Maths to be held in Haveri

As many as 10 sessions on advances in the field of Applied Mathematics would be held during the UGC sponsored two-day National Conference on Applied Mathematics being held in Haveri on Friday and Saturday.

Eminent mathematicians from across the country will participate in the deliberations during the two-day conference hosted by KLE Society’s Gudleppa Hallikeri College in Haveri.

Principal of the College, S. B Nadagouda, said in a press release that senior Mathematician and Professor of National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Y. N Reddy, would inaugurate the conference while chairman of Department of Mathematics of Bangalore University, Pradeep G. Siddheshwar, would deliver the keynote address.

Ravindra Hegadi of Solapur University, Palla Dhanumjaya of Biral Institute of Technology and Science, Goa, A.S. Vasudeva Murthy from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bengaluru, Rajeswari Seshadri of Pondicherry University, R. Srikanth of SASTRA university, Tamilnadu, Y.N. Reddy of NIT Warangal, R. Rangarajan of Mysore university and Amit Kumar Verma of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Rajasthan are the speakers invited to the conference. Of 10 sessions, two would be for presenting research papers by teachers and research scholars, Prof. Nadagouda has said in the release.
