UK palletised distribution specialist, Palletline, has announced the relocation of longstanding member, Welch's Transport Ltd to a multimillion pound, purpose-built facility in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.

Demonstrating its commitment to excellence, Welch's Transport has increased its warehousing space seven-fold and has greatly improved loading, unloading and workshop facilities with its new Duxford premises just off junction 10 of the M11.

Managing director of Palletline, Graham Leitch said: "Welch's Transport is a quality, modern brand and a great success story within the industry. The new facility provides the company with an enhanced, more efficient and even higher quality service to its customers and a platform for increasing revenue, profits and future re-investment.

"We are extremely proud that the company is a member of our network and I'd like to thank Welch's for their membership for the past five years."

In order to further plan for future growth, the fourth generation family transport firm is holding a driver apprenticeship open day on January 24th at the new facility.

Mike Bentham, sales and marketing manager, Welch's Transport said: "With 80 vehicles in our fleet and an annual turnover in excess of £10m, we are proud of our achievements as a business and believe the Duxford facility is a great starting point for anyone who has a keen interest in the logistics industry."

Palletline is a member-owned cooperative network with more than 6,000 vehicles, 12,000 staff and has access to over five million square feet of warehousing space.
