Honda India To Provide CBR150R With Facelift For 2015

By Ajinkya

Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda has not had a major launch in India for a while now. At the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi, Honda showcased several motorcycles and scooters that would be launched in India in the coming year. They have now scheduled several launches for 2015, which also include refreshes to its current line up.

Honda India had launched its CBR150R against fellow Japanese rival Yamaha and their YZF-R15. The CBR150R sports a more subdued look, when compared to R15 and its supersport avatar. Yamaha have already provided their 150cc bike with a facelift, while Honda have provided a new look to their Indonesian model.

The Japanese designers will be providing their 2015 CBR150R with minor design changes. Current generation 150cc motorcycle sports styling similar to VFR family. The 2015 model, however, will sport styling similar to that of the CBR family.

Mechanically, the 2015 CBR150R will be unchanged and Honda will provide the same 150cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is capable of producing 17.5 bhp, along with 12 Nm of peak torque output and can achieve top speed of 131 km/h.
