3 family members found dead in Katra hotel room

They had booked a room in the hotel on Tuesday evening saying that they will be proceeding to Vaishno Devi shrine for darshan next morning.

Police, who have begun investigations into the matter, quoting the girl said that before going to the bed on Tuesday night, the deceased took juice which they had brought with them from home. The girl, however, did not take it.

On Wednesday morning, the girl came to a hotel staff informing him that his parents were not waking up. The hotel staff immediately informed the police who found them dead.

It appears that there was some poisonous substance mixed in the juice taken by them. As there was no suicide note found in the hotel room, police are investigating the matter from other aspects including murder.
