Gujarat education board to conduct GujCET on May 7

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board declared that the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) for the admission to the medical and para-medical courses will be held on May 7.

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board declared that the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) for the admission to the medical and para-medical courses will be held on May 7.
The board officials said that around 35,000 students are likely to appear for the entrance examination for medical, pharmacy and para-medical courses.
The forms for applying for the GujCET examination will be available online. The officials said the syllabus for the GujCET examination will be from the syllabus of semester III and semester IV of the class XII.
The examination will comprise of three sections biology, chemistry and physics. Each section will have a weightage of 40 marks. The examination will be conducted in three languages including Gujarati, Hindi and English.
The examination will be held between 11am and 2pm. According to GSHSEB officials, the board had asked the health department to conduct the examination on their own, but later they expressed their inability to conduct the same and hence the board had to agree to conduct the examination.
