AHMEDABAD: Former DGP and an accused in the Tulsi Prajapati encounter case PC Pande has been relieved from the post of chairman of Police Housing Corporation.
Sources in the DGP office at Gandhinagar said that the current in-charge ACS (Home), Gangaram Aloria, is now holding the additional charge of chairman of Police Housing Corporation.
While additional DGP Geetha Johri, another IPS officer accused in the Tulsi Prajapati encounter case is posted as MD of Police Housing Corporation.

Soon after Pande retired from the police department in 2009, when he was serving as director general of Anti-Corruption Bureau, he was made chairman of the state’s Police Housing Corporation.
“Pande served as DGP of the state from 2007 to 2009, but was transferred on directions of the Election Commission of India during the 2009 General Elections,” said a police source.
However, officials of the state home department said this was a routine procedure. “The state government had issued a directive to change chairpersons of corporations who have completed three years in office. Pande was relived as part of that procedure,” added a home department official.
