Rare honour before retirement

The Department of Information and Public Relations here bestowed the honour of unfurling the national flag on an attendar of the department Bade Appa Rao on the occasion of the Republic Day at its office on Monday.

Mr. Appa Rao was given the honour since he would retire from service in six months. “It is one of the most memorable moments in my life”, Mr. Appa Rao, a quiet and affable person, said after unfurling the national flag. He also received a merit certificate from the district administration.

Assistant Director A. Babji, District Public Relations Officer D. Ramesh, Divisional PRO K. Sumitra Devi, and Assistant PROs S. Srinivasa Rao and A.V.S.I. Srinivasa Rao participated.

Later, along with Mr. Appa Rao, typist of the department G. Pratibha Bharati, librarian D. Jhansi Ratna Bhai and Deputy Executive Information Engineer N.V. Maheswara Rao received merit certificates during the Republic Day celebrations organised at the Police Stadium.
