Akbari Architects, a leading designer of commercial and residential projects based in Bahrain, said it has won the ISO 9001:2008 certification from Bureau Veritas for its quality management system.

A pioneering company with over 50 years of experience, Akbari said the certification was awarded only after a thorough audit by the French testing and certification services company.

The Bureau Veritas team scrutinised all the activities of the Bahraini firm with reference to the International Standard requirements for compliance.

On the certification win, Kholood Akbari, the managing director, said: "We would not have achieved this feat without the expertise of Jafcon, a Bahrain-based consultancy company established in 1990, and their persistent team."

Jafcon offers industrial and business consultancy services to the GCC and Middle East and North Africa (Mena) area, as well as, the UK and US.

Dr Akbar Jaffari the chief executive of Jafcon Consultants said with this achievement, the responsibility of the company has grown bigger on quality management system since obtaining the certificate is the first step towards the journey of excellence.
