Mauli mauli is Obama's first Marathi song

Barack Obama, President of the United States, who is currently visiting India, got a chance to witness plenty of cultural diversity when he attended the Republic Day Parade in Delhi recently.
The parade was a well-assembled affair representing the heritage of various states across the country. Amidst the celebration, Marathi movie buffs got a sweet surprise when the Maharashtra state representation was performed on the famous Marathi song 'Mauli mauli' from Riteish Deshmukh's film 'Lai Bhaari'.While the nation enjoyed the stunning assemblage of Maharashtrian culture that was put up in front of the President, the film's producer, Genelia D'Souza was quick to take credit and called the moment as 'Barack Obama's first Marathi song!'
Soon after the parade was concluded, Genelia tweeted: 'As a producer of Lai Bhari- thrilled that 'Mauli' song was used 2 represent D State of Maharashtra. @BarackObama 's first Marathi song-hehe' (sic)
