Leeds' new signing Granddi Ngoyi is hoping "big brother" Sol Bamba can help him quickly settle into English football.

Midfielder Ngoyi, 26, has followed defender Bamba from Serie A club Palermo to Elland Road. Both players will stay on loan with Leeds until the end of the season.

"He will help me a lot because he knows English football and speaks very good English," Ngoyi told the club's official website.

"Bamba is my brother, my big brother!

"I'm happy to be here. I'm very happy to be joining a good group.

"I will do my best for this club. I'm happy because I didn't play a lot of games in Palermo, I'm very happy."

Ngoyi could make his Leeds debut in Saturday's Yorkshire derby at Huddersfield.

He added: "My role is to help the team. If the coach chooses to play me I will do my best for the team.

"I hope to show what I can do on Saturday."
