Vinay Pathak turns Marathi manoos

'Bheja Fry' and 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' actor Vinay Pathak is the latest one to join the long list of Bollywood celebrities who have donned a Marathi avatar for their onscreen roles.
Upcoming film 'Chidiya', which is being directed by Bollywood director Kamal Amrohi's son, will see Vinay playing the lead character of a Maharashtrian guy. The story of the film has a Marathi backdrop which has led the makers to shoot a part of the film in Pune.It is currently being filmed at an old wada in the busy Gurwar Peth area. The makers have also chosen the Hindi vernacular for wider reach of the subject.
Sharing screen space with Vinay in the film is none other than National award winning actress Amruta Subhash who will play his love interest. It also has many more Marathi actors in it including Sandeep Pathak.
Amrohi has directed films like 'Mahal', 'Pakeezah' and 'Razia Sultan' and produced 'Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai'.
