Competition office fines Vitabalans for misleading advertising
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) today announced it had fined Vitabalans Kft. and Vitabalans Oy HUF 10.8 mln due to misleading advertising, which made unsubstantiated claims regarding its Lacto Seven and Lopacut 2 mg products during a period of more than two years beginning in the summer of 2011, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.
According to the competition office, the companies also failed to clearly identify in advertisements that Lopacut 2 mg is a medicine.
