Kyrgios ignites Hisense Arena with comeback win, more day 7 results

MELBOURNE -- Catch up on all of the action from the Australian Open on Sunday that you may have missed while you were sleeping:

Nick Kyrgios saves match point to advance to the quarterfinals

19-year-olds just aren't supposed to do this. Kyrgios came back from two-sets to love down and saved match point at 5-6 in the fourth set to beat No. 46 Andreas Seppi 5-7, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5), 8-6 on a rocking Hisense Arena on Sunday night.

American women, Azarenka, Smyczek lead 2015 AusOpen midterm grades

He was every bit the teenager, dropping f-bombs, chastising the crowd for heading for the exits, and then firing second serve aces because he just didn't know any better. He becomes the first Australian man to make the quarterfinals in Melbourne since Lleyton Hewitt in 2005, and the first teenager male to make multiple Slam quarterfinals since Roger Federer in 2001.

Bernard Tomic fell short at his fourth round hurdle, bounded out of the tournament by No. 7 Tomas Berdych 6-2, 7-6 (3), 6-2.

Andy Murray rallies to beat Grigor Dimitrov

Murray and Dimitrov capped off the day with an exceptional display of athleticism and shotmaking, with Murray reeling off the last five games of the match to win 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-5 to make his 16th consecutive Slam quarterfinal. He'll play Nick Kyrgios in the quarterfinals.

Rafael Nadal played his best match of the tournament to beat Kevin Anderson

On a much cooler, less humid afternoon on Rod Laver Arena, Nadal unleashed his best form of the tournament to beat No. 14 Kevin Anderson 7-5, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to his eighth quarterfinal at Melbourne Park. Nadal plays Berdych next. He hasn't lost to the Czech in their last 17 matches.

Nishikori, Muller knock out remaining American men, more Day 6 results

"Winning against the No. 15 of the world in straight sets, would be very arrogant if I say I'm not a very high percentage," Nadal said. "Happy the way I played today. Is the first day that I felt that I was playing at the level that I want to play and the way that I want to play. Let's have a chance to practice tomorrow, keep doing well the things I did today, and then try to arrive for the next match with the highest energy possible and try to be ready for it. I know it's going to be very tough."

Maria Sharapova and Eugenie Bouchard set for a quarterfinal clash

It's a quarterfinal that everyone circled when the draw first came out. Bouchard overcame a slight wobble in the second set to beat Irina Camelia Begu 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, while Sharapova dropped just three games to beat Peng Shuai 6-3, 6-0. They'll face off on Tuesday.

Simona Halep and Ekaterina Makarova cruise

Halep put on a clinic to beat Yanina Wickmayer 6-4, 6-2 to make her second straight Australian Open quarterfinal. She'll face No. 10 Makarova, who beat Julia Goerges 6-3, 6-2. Makarova hasn't lost a set yet.

Quote of the day: Kilt edition

Murray was grilled about all manner of topics after his win, but when it came to questions about whether he would wear a kilt at his wedding, things got...weird.

Q: If it is a kilt, is it "proper" kilt?
A: Yeah, obviously. Proper kilt, yeah.
Q: So freeballing.
A: Exactly. I have a match in a couple of days. Can I go now?
