DreamWorks Animation (DWA) Sank Sharply After Film Slate Reduction

DreamWorks Animation (DWA) announced after the close Thursday that it will focus its feature production from three films per year down to two. The company also announced that it will cut approximately 500 jobs.

DreamWorks Animation gapped open sharply lower Friday, but recovered some ground in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished with a loss of 1.64 at $19.67 on above average volume. The stock closed testing the lows of the year, trading at a 6-month low.
