As many as 24 officers from Tamil Nadu have been selected for this year’s police awards. The award takes into account their overall performance, achievement and reputation, and are presented on Republic Day and Independence Day.
Three officers have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
They are: Sunil Kumar Singh, Additional Director-General of Police, Member, TNUSRB, Chennai; P. Kannappan, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) Chennai and P.C. Sivakumar, Special Sub-inspector of Police, V&AC, headquarters, Chennai.

Kennedy, DSP, Jeeyapuram sub-division, Tiruchi; R. Sivalingam, DSP, Tiruvallur; M.V. Udayakumar, Inspector, Idol Wing, Chennai: P.S.
