Upcoming gospel artiste Prosper Nyika has roped in the services of Bethany Pasinawako on his debut album “Gadziriro”. The six track album carries tracks such as “Bazooka Kumademon”, “Achadaidzwa Mazita” and “Wakatamba Nenguva” among others. In an interview Nyika who was backed by Pasinawako on all the songs said it was disheartening to note that most preachers are now focusing on the gospel of prosperity forgetting to remind people that Jesus is coming.

“Wherever you go these days you hear people preaching about prosperity but the real issue is Jesus is coming, with prosperity or without it He is coming. We have a second life in heaven.

“I have taken it upon myself therefore that I remind people about Jesus’ second coming that is why my album is entitled ‘Gadziriro’.

“People must get prepared for Jesus’ second coming”, he said.

The 23-year-old Midlands State University student who has been performing in churches said he is overwhelmed with the response his album is getting so far.

“From all my performances, it was clear that people are accepting my music and I am grateful to God because what I want most is my music to have an impact in people’s lives. I am sure more things are yet to come”, he said.

He added that he is currently working on a video for the song “Wakatamba Nenguva” which is set to be out by early February.

The album which was produced by Lyton Ngolomi has mature music that mainly encourages people to remain faithful to God and not get carried away by worldly things.
