The BJP on Saturday inducted former MP Anuradha Chaudhary into its fold in the presence of Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay and Union Minister Harsh Vardhan. The Jat leader’s entry is expected to woo the Jat community in the Capital ahead of the polls.

Dr. Vardhan said Ms. Chaudhary will contribute in strengthening the BJP and Mr. Upadhyay said it will help the party in its position in rural areas.

Ms. Chaudhary was a Minister in the U.P. Government from Rashtriya Lok Dal and was also national general secretary of the Samajwadi Party. Besides her, social worker Chandra Rekha Tiwari, another leader Aizaz Qamar Khan connected with Indian Union Muslim League and AAP joined the party.
