‘We got on a power play, maybe with a little less than a minute and a half left in the period, and we were tied 2-2. We were set up in the zone . . . they don’t get back down and our defensive player, Alex Enes, he brought it back up the ice, and he took a shot on net. I was posted in front. . . . I was just lucky enough for the puck to drop in front because Alex took a really nice shot from near the point area, and it was right under the goalie and all I had to do was smash it in.’

The junior’s goal, his second of the game, raised his season total to 17 points.
