Celtic manager Ronny Deila insists he will have no hesitation picking Leigh Griffiths despite an ongoing legal case.

The 24-year-old Scotland striker has been charged over an incident in an Edinburgh pub last year but may still line up for the Bhoys when they face Glasgow rivals Rangers in the Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park on February 1.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged."

When asked for his view on the issue of Griffiths playing in the derby, Deila said: "This happened before my time, I can't comment on anything more than that.

"He plays good football so he will be available for the game."
