Giants’ matriarch Ann Mara hospitalized after nasty spill

The elderly matriarch of the New York Giants is recovering from a nasty spill outside her Westchester home earlier this week.

Ann Mara, 85, slipped on ice and smacked her head last Sunday morning, Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon said. Mara, who has 11 children and 43 grandkids, including actresses Kate and Rooney Mara, has been recovering at Greenwich Hospital.

Mara is the widow of original Giants owner Wellington Mara and the mother of current co-owner John Mara.
