Boy dies of burn injuries in Pallavaram

CHENNAI: A two-and-a-half year old boy died on Thursday night, of burn injuries sustained when a pot of boiling water fell on him at his house in Bharathi Nagar in Pallavaram.
Police identified the deceased as Manoj, son of a daily wage worker Saravanan who was away for work when the accident occured.
Manoj’s mother was boiling a pot of water on the kerosene stove in the kitchen.When Manoj tried to pull thepot down, the hot water spilled on him causing burn injuries.
Manoj was admitted to the Government Hospital for Children in Egmore where he died.
