The Sainik School, Kalikiri, is all set to observe the 66th Republic Day in a big way. It is the first major event at the school after its formation last year.

The school is the 25th in the country and the second in the State after the one at Korukonda in Vizianagaram district.

In fact, Andhra Pradesh is one of the few States to have two Sainik schools. A 34-minute ceremonial parade will be the major highlight of the celebrations.

The cadets of the school, all aged 10 to 11 years, will participate in the march past, while Principal Col. R. Alagarraj will hoist the National Flag.
