Sukanya to play Mahesh Babu's mom

Yesteryear actress Sukanya will be seen playing Mahesh Babu's mom in his forthcoming family drama, directed by Koratala Siva. Initially, the makers had considered names like Gracy Singh and Nadia for the role but things didn't pan out as expected. Finally, they zeroed in on Sukanya. JagapathiBabu will play the role of Mahesh's dad.
A source from the unit confirms, 'We had been considering quite a few of yesteryear actors but finally locked in on Sukanya.'
Interestingly, Jagapathi Babu and Sukanya played the lead pair in Peddarikam (1992), which was a super hit.The actress has already started shooting for her role in the film, which has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady.
