Kurla student who lost her arms in train accident presses for changes at rly meet

Monika More (third from left), the Kurla teenager who lost her arms under a local train in Ghatkopar last year, and who has since been wearing prosthetic arms, attended for the first time the meeting of the divisional railway users consultative committee (DRUCC), for which she had been nominated by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, in his capacity as Rajya Sabha MP.

Monika called for a separate compartment for the handicapped women commuters, and also demanded that the existing handicapped compartments should be located close to the motorman’s cabin for better monitoring.
