BJP plans four more Modi rallies, deputes MPs to mobilise workers

At the meeting it was decided that 70 leaders, including MPs and ministers from state assemblies, will handle “ground zero” till counting on February 10. Around 56 MPs will be deputed to coordinate with workers, arrange public meetings and padyatras for the candidates.

According to sources, the leaders include Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda, MoS (independent charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, MoS for Agriculture and Food Processing Sanjeev Baliyan, Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijayvargiya.

The seven Delhi MPs, who are part of the committee, were missing from the meeting. While they claimed that they “did not know” of it, a party spokesperson said, “The MPs were busy with work in their constituencies.”
