Tollywood remembers MS Narayana
BRAHMANANDAM
MS Narayana was one of my closest friends in the industry; in fact we were like brothers. When he was on his death bed, he called his daughter and took a piece of paper and wrote my name. He wanted to talk to me. I dont think I can cite a better example to explain the kind of relationship we shared. We used to meet quite often and have shared a lot of lunches and dinners.
Whenever we used to work together on any set, the vibe used to be very jovial. Once, when I was ready with my make-up and asked him how I looked, he didnt even look at me and said, Yeah, you look good. When I asked him how he could say that when he didnt even look at me, he said, The answer would be the same even if I had looked at you. He was a wonderful human being.
ALI
This is a huge loss to the industry, and personally to me as well. MS garu had a double MA in Telugu, and we used to crack jokes about it all the time. We acted together in more than 100 films... so hes become a part of my own journey as an actor. I remember, one day, I did not have lunch on the sets since I was upset about something. The entire crew asked me to have lunch, but I did not. MS garu just dropped by on the sets and I sat down to have lunch with him almost immediately... So, that was his magic!
LB SRIRAM
We both got acquainted with each other as writers, before becoming actors. Both MS Narayana and me got a breakthrough through EVV.He was instrumental in my success I remember those days when filmmakers used to write separate comic tracks on us as a duo! He used to shoot a lot at RFC, so whenever he crossed LB Nagar, he used to call me and say LB garu, I crossed LB Nagar...
MOHAN BABU
I shared a great rapport with MS, having launched him with Pedarayuidu. It was director Ravi Raja Pinisetty who told me that MS was a talented actor and what a discovery he turned out to be! And yet, what humility! He was one of those actors who never demanded remuneration according to the market trend. He was such a seasoned actor, and yet, he had no qualms in asking me for a role if he needed one. If there was a lull in work, or if he wasnt a part of my films, he used to ask me, Sir, did you forget us? Why am I not a part of your project? Thats the kind of rapport we shared. Personally too we became really close over the years.Whenever he or his family encountered any difficulty, they came to me for redressal. His passing away has created a huge vacuum in the industry.

PARUCHURI GOPALAKRISHNA
During his initial days when he was still trying for good roles, MS once came up to me and said that he was done with the film industry. He had almost given up and felt that things were not panning out well for him. He had made up his mind to go back to teaching. But I told him that this industry neither invites anyone, nor gives anyone the boot. It is always a matter of perseverance here. He took what I said to heart, and decided to be a little more patient. Shortly after that, he got the breakthrough with the film Maa Nannaku Pelli, and later, went on to act in more than 700 films.
SREENU VAITLA Ive known MS Narayana garu for over twenty years. He was a struggling writer then but he didnt change one bit even after becoming a great actor. I first worked with him for Anandam. I remember hed shot the popular drunk scene in which he gets slapped by his friends in a single call sheet stretching 24 hours. Years later he was an established actor when shooting for Dookudu but he gladly shot in a single call sheet for the film. What else can you ask for? He is irreplaceable.
