Saxton Oval will host three group games for the ICC World Cup 2015

Saxton Oval also known as Saxton Field is a cricket ground in Nelson, Nelson Region, New Zealand. It was announced as one of the venues for the 2015 World Cup with three group games scheduled in the stadium.

The ground was constructed by the Nelson Cricket Association following their move from Trafalgar Park, at a cost of $3.8 million. The cricket oval was used as a base during the 2011 Rugby Union World Cup by the national teams of Italy and Australia.

On 4th January 2014, Nelson hosted its first men's international match when West Indies played New Zealand in a 50-over match.
