NBA Development League rookie shooting sensation Brady Heslip has signed a contract with KK Igokea (in Bosnia-Herzegovina) of the Adriatic League and will finish the season overseas, his agent Bernie Lee told USA TODAY Sports.

"We felt like this opportunity was too good to pass up and offered Brady a chance to have a rounded experience playing in both the D-League and Europe as a rookie," Lee said. "Brady was very lucky to play under such a great coach as Dave Arsenault Jr. and be able to learn and showcase himself in such an amazing system. Was a tough decision but one he feels comfortable with and thanks Reno."

Heslip, who played for the Reno Bighorns, was fantastic — especially on three-pointers — in 20 games this season. He scored 24.5 points per game, made 5.7 three-pointers per game and shot 44.3% on three-pointers.

The former Baylor standout and Canada native was the story of the D-League to start the 2014-15 season. In his first two games on the season, Heslip scored 78 points and made 20 of 36 three-point attempts.

In his fifth game of the season, Heslip made 13 of 20 threes and had 45 points. He shot 45-for-75 (60%) on three-pointers in the first five games. Heslip made at least 10 three-pointers in a game three times and made at least five three-pointers in a game 11 times.

Heslip signed a training camp deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and remains intent on playing in the NBA.

Heslip's dad played college ball in Canada and his uncle is Jay Triano, a former NBA head coach who is now an assistant for the Portland Trail Blazers and head coach of Canada's national team.
