THINGS IN OUR WAY TO FIRST WORLD
Sir,
We are the only country in the SADC region that does not have the SADC drivers’ licences yet, despite the fact that it was announced that they were the ones to be used.
What is so special or different about this country that makes it fail to deliver?
Our government agreed and signed the SADC protocol on drivers’ licences but alas, several years later we are the only country in the region that has failed to deliver on this causing serious frustration and embarrassment to the taxpayers and the nation. Will this non-compliance with the SADC protocol on drivers licences augur well with our 2022 Vision?
Where is clean water in Nothern Hhohho? What is the Swaziland Water Services Corporation doing to install water and sewer reticulation systems in this part of the region? People in these areas build very modern houses but they have no provision of water and sewer services.
Part of the Matsamo Lake on the Mlumati River is actually in Swaziland but we are not seeing any initiative from SWSC to tap into this resource and supply clean and reliable water to the region, are we going to be a first world country without clean water and sewer services?
I am sure this state of affairs applies to other regions as well.
