Evernote is not exactly the most minimal, easy-to-use app on iOS. That said, you can use another app called Drafts to do a lot more with Evernote. Evernote Essentials author Brett Kelley shows off a bunch of tricks for integrating the two apps together for a better experience.
The appeal of using Drafts instead of Evernote is simple: When you open up Drafts, you’re instantly greeted with a blank page to write on. From there, you can write a note, email or whatever else, then funnel that note to another app, such as Evernote. This can save you a lot of tapping around.
Kelly’s guide comes in two parts, an introduction and an advanced guide. The introduction explains how to connect Drafts to Evernote so you can use the two apps together, quickly save notes to Evernote, instantly add to-dos and more. The second part gets a little more complicated, showing you how to append to older notes, create titled lists, create template tags and more.
