Yadgir is all set to host the 2-day second Yadgir District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan from Saturday.
The Sammelan will be held at the Backward Classes Hostel Ground in Yadgir. District in-charge Minister Baburao Chinchansur and District Sahitya Parishat president Siddappa Hotti will unfurl the national and parishat flags respectively. Noted writer Chandrakanth Karadalli, who has been elected as sammelana president, will be brought in a open procession from Mailapur base to the venue. Senior writer G.S. Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the function, while Pundalika Halambi State president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be present. .
The former Union Minister and MP Mallikarjun Kharge will release a souvenir. Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashree will inaugurate book stalls. Yadgir MLA A.B. Maalakareddy will release seven books.
