The maker of the da Vinci robotic surgery system said non-GAAP diluted Q4 EPS fell to $4.92 per share from $4.98 in the same quarter a year earlier, topping estimates. Intuitive Surgical's (ISRG) revenue grew 4.9% to $604.7 mil, beating views of $588.4 mil. During Q4 sales of the recently debuted da Vinci Xi system rose to 97 units vs. 59 in Q3 and 50 in Q2, the quarter of launch. The company also received regulatory clearance in Q4 and began selling the da Vinci Xi System in S. Korea. Shares rose 1.4% but fell 3.5% to 507 in after-hours trade.
